Walking through the store, I was looking for something that really triggered a memory that really changed my life. I knew going in I wanted to find a cat figure but I tried to be open minded. I stumbled upon a stuffed Barney, a pin up girl doll, Naval F-14 Tom Cat plane headphones, and a life sized barbie that I all considered but they just didn't grab my heart like the cat figure did.
I almost bought a "lip" phone. It's a lan-line cord phone where the receiver is shaped like a lower and upper lip, like the one the girl from "Clueless" had. I always wanted one and my mom thought they were stupid. It reminded me of being a kid in the 90's, but I don't think it was significant enough to trigger a memory as much as Barney did.
I honestly walked around for a long time not connecting to anything... I really wanted to buy a "Kiss me, I'm Irish" coffee cup... but, I am not Irish and the only connection I had with it is that I love Irish culture and WISH I was Irish!
I almost purchased a dragon stamp because I've been an Anime nerd since middle school.

ReplyDeleteI honestly can't think of anything else I almost purchased that stands out in my mind. The vase was the first thing that struck me and I bought it.
